This sale is for a well-maintained 6 year-old teak plantation in Ecuador on approximately 28 acres (11+ hectares) of land, located within 20 KM of Guayaquil.

The property was developed and planted in 2008 with 12000+ trees of the highest quality species, is in an ideal growing environment, and is immediately adjacent to a Government Highway with easy access. The selling price includes both the land and 12,000+ trees. The title is clear for this plantation, and the trees are registered with the Government, which ensures the right to market them at any time in the future.....................
A teak plantation represents a long-term, secure investment in a commodity that is projected to increase significantly in market value with time, not being tied to any particular currency................
One half of the 12,000 trees, i.e. 6000, need to be thinned (cut and sold) in 1-2 years, in order to provide sufficient growing space for the remaining 6000 long-term growth trees. (Please see web site for further information.)
The remaining 6000 trees can be left to grow to maturity in 10, 15 or more years, although a 15 year-old tree is definitely ready for the market (which is 9 years out). A 15 year-old tree should market for around $1,000 per tree. Additional years of growth beyond 15-20 years does not pose a problem as the teak will only become larger and more valuable as time passes. This offers the additional advantage of pacing future income streams and timing the market for optimum profitability............
A future stand of timber will grow from the stumps of the final harvest of trees, providing a continuing income stream in future years, or a very marketable and established plantation for resale.
