The lodge combines a feeling of being close to nature,with modern comforts.The location,in an isolated spot on the river bank,is a key selling point.Accommodation comprises of four en-suite luxury tents,built on two meter high platforms under thatched roofs beneath palm trees.
Rooms:
All of them having a magnificent view with two overlooking the river and two overlooking the bush and an animal waterhole.
The tents are very spacious with large windows with mosquito netting on three sides to let in the breeze and light.The toilet,as well as the shower and wash basin with hot and cold water,are at the back on the platform outside the canvas of the tent.The stunning newly built thatched main area is where the guests enjoy meals,have a drink at the bar or just relax in the lounge.
The lodge is equally popular with international guests as well as the large community of expatriates in Dar es Salaam.
Regular animals visiting to Lodge water hole are leopard,hyena,waterbuck,bushbuck,kudu,warthogs,bush pigs,baboons,blue monkeys,black & white colobus,porcupine,civer,genet,honey badger and bush babies.In front of the lodge in the Rufiji river there are hippos and crocodiles,especially at night.
