Location:
the farm is located in the East side of Romania, in the northern part of Buzau county, near the city of Ramnicu Sarat, on Podgoria village.
Access: directly from DN 2 / E 85, about 100m from the exit of Ramnicu Sarat going to Focsani.
Total area of the farm is 71 hectares(710.000 sqm) 100% equipped with irrigation system of which:
-50 ha(500.000sqm) orchard of cherries (of which 33 ha hail system and with 30.000 bearing trees);
-3 ha(30.000sqm) orchard of apple fruit (all covered by hail system);
-10 ha(100.000sqm) of arable land in prepartion to use;
-7 ha pasture/grassland with lucerne/alfalfa (urban land).
The whole surface is grouped with one opening of 250m in DN 2 / E85 (Buzau - Rm Sarat - Focsani).
Farm has:
-an artificial accumulation lake of 20.000sqm covered with geothermal layer;
-new machinery park;
-cold rooms of 1.000sqm + fruit sort rooms built in 2010 to 2011;
-sorted and calibrated machine cherries (new - year 2011);
-a house of 200sqm on the lake shore almost completed;
-6.000 meters of barbed wire fence with 2m height with concrete foundation and galvanized net, outdoor video surveillance system covering -approximately 2.000m of linear fence;
-intrusion protection system on IR on certain parcels;
-paved roads;
-another guard house (with groundfloor and one level, with video surveillance system), and more.
The farm is located in an agricultural area with cherry plantation tradition, considered as average, according to categorization by MAAP.
Investment were based largely on their own resources, loans and credits and (also) with a small Sapard credit. The total investment cost amounts to approx. 4 million euros.
The investment consisted of:
-land-clearing and preparation;
-planting trees among the most productive varieties and fruity;
-works after planting trees;
-tillage, cutting, spraying, protect against pests;
-tree-work support;
-installation of prestressed concrete trellis (a type of trellis that is not found in Romania).
The following equipment is owned and used by farm: tractors, tractor trailer, reversible plow, drill, mower, seed spreaders, harrow discs, elevator.
